In the fall of 2013, my twenty-five years as a professional Soul Consultant culminated in an eight-month extensive personal journey in Hawai’i. Working with Hawai’ian spiritual practices, sacred sites, and traditions connected me to the True Source of Divine Energy present in the Islands themselves. Being physically present provided the direct experience of the Ancient Hawai’ian pristine creative energies of the earth and seas to resonate within me. My Soul Awareness shifted this resonance into a dimensional expansion. Interaction with the indigenous population and their profoundly natural sense of Love enhanced this experience.
During this journey, I received authority from the Ancients to perform authentic Hawai’ian Blessings and other sacred ceremonies. While there, I gave a number of Hawai’ian Blessings under guidance of the Ancients and with mentoring from Keahi Kawekiu Hanakahi.
I am an ordained Minister, as well as Hawai’ian Kahu, licensed to perform legal wedding ceremonies for any interested individuals or couples.

Wedding Officiant
Wendy was beyond anything we could have ever hoped for. I feel like the moment we connected, I had a very good feeling about her. Her energy is so calming and nurturing and welcoming. From the very beginning of our journey with her, she was intentional and personable. She offered us into her beautiful home, complete with fresh delicious banana bread, to get to know us (my husband and I) on a deeper level. She means what she says when marketing “soul blending” She made a point to try meet us on a soul level, and that she did. She makes it very easy to be vulnerable and honest. She asked all the right questions and led the conversation with poise and professionalism. You can tell she really really cares about each couple and the two of us individually. We left feeling so relieved and confident in our decision to choose her. She found a way eloquently speak about our relationship and our beliefs better than we could have, all while respecting our non-religious affiliation, yet the ceremony felt spiritual and sacred. She performed a blessing of our rings and lovely hand-fasting ceremony, per our request. Leading up to our big day, she checked in and offered a helping hand multiple times. Since then, she has checked in and wished us well again. I say this with full sincerity and gratitude, Wendy is one of the best aspects about our entire wedding. I have no intention of getting married again, but if I were to do it again, I’d book her again in a heartbeat. We love you, Wendy!

Wendy was a wonderful officiant at our wedding. She was perfectly understanding about the things we did or did not want to happen at the wedding and she made the ceremony overall flow very nicely and it was easy to follow.
To all those looking to make their big day special and unique, please do not overlook this wonderful lady. I will confess that my search for an officiant was not going to well; I had a few that just never gave any kind of response, and others that I personally felt we’re taking advantage of wedding season ($$$). Reverend Wendy Tuttle responded to my inquiry on Thumbtack THE NEXT DAY, and I could already tell she was an extremely kind-hearted person. She made the entire process very easy for us. We messaged back-and-forth on Thumbtack getting the basic “wants” and “do nots” figured out, and then we arranged a meeting.
Ms. Tuttle welcomed us into her home, sat us down and showed genuine interest in hearing our story; how we met, what we love and admire about the other person, and what we’d like to do together in our future. She jotted down some notes as we talked because she writes a personal ceremony for every couple she marries. She asked our opinion on wording and if there were any specific scriptures or prayers we wanted to include in our ceremony. While in her home, she allowed us to meet her pet chinchillas (they are insanely soft!!!) and sent me home with some Hawaiian ginger flowers. My day was made. I mean, chinchillas!!! It seemed like it took no time at all, but there we were on our big day; September 7, 2019.
Ms. Tuttle arrived early (like she said she would) and greeted me shortly after I arrived at the venue. She assured me that she included everything we wanted, and most importantly, that it would be a short but sweet ceremony. Our ceremony was truly beautiful and sweet. The words spoken were special to our relationship, and the symbolic “washing of the rings” and Kahu’s Blessing showed Reverend Tuttle’s compassion and Hawaiian roots. I have never witnessed another ceremony like ours, and I’m so happy that we chose Reverend Tuttle to join our hearts together “into the Tapestry of Love”. She is a wonderful lady and is incredible at what she does; we have no regrets hiring Reverend Tuttle. She made our big day, our ceremony so incredibly special and unforgettable. PS: She was also very prompt in getting our Marriage Certificate to us after all the celebration and shared some valuable advice with me regarding the name change process. Job well done Ms. Tuttle. =)
I couldn’t have imagined a better wedding than the one we had. When we first met Wendy, she immediately understood our souls and exactly what we wanted. I am a bit of a control freak so not getting to read the ceremony first made me nervous at first thought, but after our second meeting I had no doubt in my mind that it would be perfect.
Our ceremony was the most beautiful experience – so incredibly thoughtful and unique to who we are. Several of our guests mentioned shedding tears, but neither of us would’ve known. Wendy made our ceremony so intimate that it felt like we were the only ones there. I can’t thank her enough, and I feel fortunate to now call her a friend.
If you want a wedding experience that is beyond the standard “I do” then I don’t know anyone better qualified.
Our experience with Kahu I’olani was unique and memorable. I really feel that no one else would have listened and been able to fulfill our wishes the way she did. Her gentle way of making suggestions made us feel supported and encouraged. The whole experience, from planning through license paperwork, was smooth and exciting. She kept me calm and focused while planning a wedding largely on my own as my partner wasn’t able to move from several states away until just before the wedding. I know the planning process, ceremony, and everything surrounding it wouldn’t have had the same magic without her touch.
The way she combined personal elements and details that had meaning to us and incorporated our own personal beliefs with traditional and indigenous Hawai’ian blessings made the ceremony she created totally unique and sacred to us. The ceremony also reflected what was most important for us to share with our family and friends as part of our special day.
Wendy was amazing and had a wonderful spiritual ceremony for me and my wife . She put a lot of detail and beautiful words into the ceremony. She kept me and my wife at ease.

The greatest gift my Wife and I have had was meeting Wendy Tuttle. Starting this wedding adventure, my wife and I were struggling to find someone who would be willing to marry an interracial lesbian couple. We never thought we would ever find anyone as kind, loving, warm hearted, and compassionate as she is. Our wedding may have been about us but she was the centerpiece that held it together. She has made our wedding the most beautiful and meaningful ceremony anyone could ask for.

Our experience with Wendy was better than we ever could have imagined. We took advantage of the pre-counseling she offers. It gave us new clarity and understanding about issues we were struggling with. Wendy’s creation of our unique ceremony was exactly perfect for us. She had our children participate in the preparation aspects, so they felt like they belonged. As witnesses to our vows (Wendy wrote) they saw their parents as role models for their futures. Wendy created unique forms of exchange and incorporated some items that had great meaning to us. She arranged for flowers from Hawaii and was meticulous about every ceremony and event detail, including the music.
